Intentional Transitions

So much of our living is ordinary - the time �in between� - and yet we make many transitions throughout our lifetimes.

All of us were born and named � most of us journey through the school years to graduation and are confronted with a bittersweet array of choices. Some choose life partners and begin a new life in the community � some become parents. All of us experience change and loss.

Hopefully all of us enjoy moments of celebration and delight as well. We learn, we work, we change careers, we retire.

At times we or loved ones move through illness and our lives are changed. We face death � and life again.

Human persons have long employed ritual to mark these significant transitions in their lives.
